Job summary

Qubik Accounting is seeking an experienced Accountant to join our finance team in Australia. You will support a diverse portfolio of clients, delivering accounting services, tax support and compliance across multiple industries.

The role includes preparing financial statements, cash flow forecasts, reconciliations, payroll processing and managing workflow with stakeholders to drive revenue opportunities. A degree in accounting or finance and 8+ years of experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• University degree in business/finance or equivalent.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Solid accounting and tax abilities.
• Proactive and client-focused with good communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide accounting support for a portfolio of clients across Australia.
• Prepare financial statements and Three Way Cash Flow Forecasts.
• Handle bank reconciliations, balance sheets and P&L reconciliation workpapers.
• Process payroll and manage client invoicing and workflow planning.

As an Accountant, you will support the larger team by providing accounting support in finances, tax credits and obligations for a variety of clients from small to large portfolios, in a diverse range of industries and locations across Australia. Additional training will be provided for specific activities if needed, especially in relation to Australian taxation and preparation of tax lodgements

These key roles form an integral part of our finance team with responsibilities including:

• Accounting support to a portfolio of small to large clients in a diverse range of industries and locations across Australia
• Preparation of financial statements
• Preparation of Three Way Cash Flow Forecast
• Account allocations from bank feeds
• Reconciling balance sheets and P&L statements, including detailed reconciled workpapers
• Monthly journals and preparation of management accounts
• Payroll processing
• Manage your own workflow planning, incl proactively looking for opportunities to add revenue
• Proactively work with stakeholders to manage client invoicing/disputes

Desirable Knowledge, Skills and Experience

• University business/finance degree or equivalent
• 8+ years extensive accounting experience
• Solid technical skills and strong analytical, problem-solving skills
• Strong accounting and tax abilities
