Account Manager – Packaging & FMCG

The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Account Manager to join a well-established organisation within the packaging and manufacturing industry. This is a relationship-focused role, with approximately 90% account management and 10% business development. You will take ownership of an existing customer portfolio, building strong relationships, ensuring customer satisfaction and identifying opportunities for growth. We are open to candidates from both packaging and FMCG backgrounds who understand the importance of delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining long-term commercial relationships.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Manage and nurture an established portfolio of customer accounts.
• Build strong, long-term relationships and act as the key point of contact for customers.
• Understand customer requirements and ensure a high level of service and satisfaction.
• Identify opportunities to grow existing accounts and generate additional revenue.
• Work closely with internal sales, operations and production teams to ensure customer expectations are met.
• Manage pricing, quotations, contract renewals and customer enquiries.
• Resolve customer issues proactively and maintain positive relationships.
• Identify new business opportunities where appropriate.

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience in Account Management, ideally within packaging, manufacturing or FMCG.
• Strong relationship management skills with a genuine customer-first approach.
• Ability to manage multiple accounts and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Commercial awareness with experience managing pricing and customer negotiations.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
• A proactive, organised and approachable personality.
• Willingness to learn technical packaging products and solutions.

Previous packaging experience is highly regarded but not essential. We are looking for someone who knows how to look after customers, build trust and develop lasting relationships.
