Job summary

Coates in Darwin is seeking an Account Manager to own a diverse customer portfolio and grow revenue in the Winnellie region. You will build strong commercial relationships, identify opportunities, and deliver tailored equipment and solutions to add value for customers.

Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, you will travel regularly, meet sales targets, and collaborate across teams to win new business within an established territory.

Qualifications

• Experience in sales or account management in construction or industrial sectors.
• Proven ability to build trusted client relationships and identify growth.
• Strong commercial acumen, negotiation skills and customer focus.
• Ability to analyse customer needs and develop strategic account plans.
• Proactive and resilient with drive to hit targets.
• Stakeholder management and cross-team collaboration.
• Current and valid driver’s licence.

Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, you'll take ownership of a diverse customer portfolio, identifying opportunities to grow revenue, strengthen partnerships and deliver tailored equipment and solutions that add real value to your customers' businesses.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious sales professional who enjoys being on the road, building strong commercial relationships and uncovering new business opportunities within an established territory.

What You’ll Bring To The Role

• Experience in a sales or account management role, ideally within construction, industrial, equipment hire, defence or a related industry
• A proven ability to build trusted customer relationships and identify growth opportunities
• Strong commercial acumen, negotiation skills and a customer-first mindset
• The ability to analyse customer needs and develop strategic account plans
• A proactive and resilient approach, with the drive to achieve sales targets and business objectives
• Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to collaborate across multiple teams
• A current and valid driver's licence
