Job summary

Coates Hire Operations Pty Limited in Darwin is seeking an Account Manager to own a diverse customer portfolio across the Winnellie region, driving revenue growth and delivering tailored equipment and solutions.

You'll report to the Regional Sales Manager, travel to client sites as required, and build strong relationships while identifying opportunities to expand Coates’ market presence in Australia’s leading equipment hire provider.

Qualifications

• Experience in a sales or account management role.
• Ability to build trusted customer relationships and identify growth opportunities.
• Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
• Ability to analyse customer needs and develop strategic account plans.
• Proactive approach to achieving sales targets and business objectives.
• Excellent stakeholder management and collaboration across teams.
• Current and valid driver’s licence.

We're looking for a driven and relationship-focused Account Manager to join our Winnellie team. Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, you'll take ownership of a diverse customer portfolio, identifying opportunities to grow revenue, strengthen partnerships and deliver tailored equipment and solutions that add real value to your customers' businesses.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious sales professional who enjoys being on the road, building strong commercial relationships and uncovering new business opportunities within an established territory.

What you’ll bring to the role

• Experience in a sales or account management role, ideally within construction, industrial, equipment hire, defence or a related industry
• A proven ability to build trusted customer relationships and identify growth opportunities
• Strong commercial acumen, negotiation skills and a customer-first mindset
• The ability to analyse customer needs and develop strategic account plans
• A proactive and resilient approach, with the drive to achieve sales targets and business objectives
• Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to collaborate across multiple teams
• A current and valid driver's licence
