Job summary

St Peters Lutheran College is seeking an Academic Operations Coordinator for the Secondary Years to lead the academic operations function across the school and manage timetable construction, subject selection processes, examination timetabling, workforce planning and staff workload monitoring.

Based in Indooroopilly, Brisbane, the role begins Term 1 2027 and offers a 3-year tenure with a permanent teaching position. QCT registration and an education qualification are required to apply.

Qualifications

• A relevant qualification in Education and current Queensland College of Teachers (QCT) Registration.
• Proven record of achievement in academic operations, timetabling or school workforce planning.
• Demonstrated expertise in timetable construction using Timetabler or comparable software, and knowledge of the Synergetic Management System or similar.
• Demonstrated analytical capability, including the ability to interpret and reconcile complex workforce data.
• Highly developed written and oral communication skills with capacity to consult, negotiate and resolve contested operational matters.
• Commitment to the College’s Christian ethos and values.

Responsibilities

• Lead the construction of timetables for the Secondary Years 7–12.
• Combine operational leadership with classroom practice.
• Play a key role in workforce planning and monitoring staff workload.
• Ensure effective, equitable and efficient delivery of curriculum programs across Years 7-12.
