Job summary

Aboriginal Land Council NSW – Batemans Bay NSW is seeking a motivated Project Officer to support Local Aboriginal Land Councils across the Zone with governance, compliance and project delivery.

You will provide practical guidance, assist with land activation, deliver training programs and reports, travel to communities, and build strong relationships with LALB boards and staff to advance Aboriginal self-determination.

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience in community development or governance.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects.
• Experience building positive stakeholder relationships.
• Understanding of governance, compliance and reporting requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide advice on governance, compliance and operational matters.
• Assist with Community Land and Business Plan assessments and implementation.
• Support delivery of training programs and capacity-building initiatives.
• Identify economic development, land activation and community opportunities.
• Build relationships with LALB boards, members and staff.
• Prepare reports and recommendations to inform decisions.
• Travel across the Zone to support LALCs.
