Job summary

Christou Homes Pty Ltd in Richmond, NSW is seeking a 2nd or 3rd year carpentry apprentice to join our team on residential projects. You will learn across timber framing, fix-outs, cladding, decks and doors while working with experienced tradespeople on diverse sites.

You will travel to projects around Sydney and surrounding areas, bring your own basic tools, hold a White Card, and possess a current drivers license. A strong work ethic and team approach are essential.

Qualifications

• Currently completing a carpentry apprenticeship in 2nd or 3rd year.
• Hold a current Australian driver9s license.
• Have your own reliable vehicle.
• Hold a current White Card.
• Willing to travel to projects throughout Sydney and surrounding areas.

Job description

You will work alongside experienced carpenters, leading hand, site supervisor and project management team across a variety of residential projects. This is a great opportunity for an apprentice who wants to build their skills properly, work alongside experienced tradespeople and gain exposure to a broad range of carpentry and residential construction.

Key responsibilities

• Assisting with and learning all aspects of residential carpentry, including timber framing, fix-out and finishing carpentry, external cladding, decks and external works, doors, windows and hardware
• General carpentry and construction duties
• Reading and understanding plans
• Site preparation and organisation
• Working safely and maintaining clean, professional sites

About you

• Currently completing a carpentry apprenticeship and in your 2nd or 3rd year
• Hold a current Australian driver's licence
• Have your own reliable vehicle
• Hold a current White Card
• Willing and able to travel to projects throughout Sydney and surrounding areas
• Reliable and punctual
• Good work ethic and positive attitude
• Willing to learn and take direction
• Take pride in the quality of your work
• Able to work well as part of a team, culture is important to us!
• Understand the importance of safety on site
• Respectful when dealing with clients, trades and other team members
• Own and maintain a basic set of hand tools required for carpentry work
