Job summary

Human Resources Focus is seeking a 2nd or 3rd Year Apprentice Carpenter for our client in Sydney. The role covers commercial carpentry duties, including door hanging and reading plans, with training available for door installation.

You will contribute to quality workmanship and safety on site, travelling to varied project locations around Sydney and coastal regions as required. A current White Card and own tools are essential.

Qualifications

• 2nd or 3rd Year Apprentice Carpenter with carpentry experience.
• Current White Card.

Responsibilities

• General carpentry duties across commercial construction projects.
• Installation and hanging of doors, including fire-rated doors (training available).
• Reading and interpreting plans and specifications.
• Measuring, cutting, and installing building materials.
• Ensuring work meets safety requirements and high quality standards.

They pride themselves on workmanship, reliability, and strong team culture. Due to continued growth, they are seeking 2nd or 3rd Year Apprentice Carpenter to join their team.

Key Responsibilities:

• General carpentry duties across commercial construction projects
• Installation and hanging of doors, including fire-rated doors (experience preferred but training can be provided)
• Reading and interpreting plans and specifications
• Measuring, cutting, and installing building materials
• Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and in accordance with safety requirements
• Working collaboratively with site supervisors, trades, and clients
• Travelling to various project locations throughout Sydney, including the North Coast and South Coast regions as required

About You:

• 2nd or 3rd Year Apprentice Carpenter with carpentry experience
• Door hanging experience preferred but not essential
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Reliable, punctual, and professional
• Current White Card
• Own tools and reliable transport & driver's license
