Job summary

seek.com.au is seeking an experienced Security Operations Centre Manager to lead a 24/7 team in Sydney, ensuring effective monitoring, incident response and client service delivery. You will shape processes and drive improvements across shifts.

You will recruit and develop operators, manage rostering and training, oversee incident escalation and reporting, and collaborate with stakeholders to maintain high security standards for domestic and international requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years’ experience in security operations, control room management, or a comparable operational environment.
• Current NSW Security Licence, including Class 1E – Monitoring Centre Operator.
• Strong incident management, planning and escalation capabilities.
• Clear written and verbal communication with reports and stakeholder briefings.
• Ability to balance urgent operational needs with longer-term improvements.

Responsibilities

• Lead 24/7 monitoring and incident response coordination across shifts.
• Oversee reporting, procedures and quality outputs.
• Deliver training and scenario exercises to build capability.
• Coordinate rostering, logistics and resource planning.
• Engage with clients and internal stakeholders to provide operational advice.
• Monitor costs and contribute to budgeting and forecasting.
