Job summary

Huntress is seeking a Security Operations Center Manager to lead a global 24/7 team responsible for incident investigation, containment, and response across millions of endpoints. You will design workflows, scale processes, and drive training to enable analysts to meet service-level objectives.

This remote Australia role emphasizes operational leadership, cross‑functional collaboration with Product, Marketing, Support, and Sales, and a data‑driven approach to security operations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years as Security Analyst in a global 24x7 SOC with a focus on Windows forensics
• 2+ years of team lead or managerial experience in a global operations center or IR role (MSSP/MDR preferred)
• Active involvement in the information security community (conferences, projects)
• Continual learning of threat actor tradecraft, detection techniques, and SOC concepts
• Ability to map workflows with detailed process diagrams and operating procedures
• Effective communicator of technical concepts to diverse stakeholders
• Data-driven approach with experience in data science concepts

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and enforce internal SOC processes to reduce burnout and increase productivity
• Manage 24/7 shift coverage to maintain operations year-round
• Hold weekly 1:1s to socialize initiatives, gather feedback, and support career progression
• Contribute to training programs in Digital Forensics, IR, Malware Analysis, and Detection Engineering
• Collaborate with Product to prioritize new capabilities to augment analysts
• Ensure regional quality assurance and SOP adherence
• Coordinate with Support to streamline SOC-related requests
• Engage with Tactical Response, Threat Hunting, and Detection Engineering teams
• Provide technical leadership to SOC analysts
• Align goals with Huntress mission and cross-functional stakeholders
• Develop and report on Objectives and Key Results for SOC focus areas
• Operationalize new technologies and services for the market
• Participate in public speaking (webinars and in-person)
