Jobgether is seeking an Engineering Manager, Managed Services based in Austria to lead a distributed team operating and improving modern cloud infrastructure, including Kubernetes and OpenStack, balancing operational excellence with engineering quality.

You will drive service delivery, collaborate across engineering, product, operations, and customer teams, and help establish scalable processes while maintaining focus on priorities and commitments.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a technology-related field or comparable professional experience.
• Experience with Python, Go, C, C++, Java or similar, and/or managing technical operations teams.
• Demonstrated professional experience with OpenStack.
• Strong testing methodologies, maintainable code, and software quality practices.
• Experience with Linux system administration; Ubuntu/Debian experience a plus.
• Solid understanding of cloud architectures and technologies.
• Technical aptitude for distributed systems.
• Experience with agile software development.
• Proven experience managing distributed or remote teams.
• Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• Customer-focused approach to service delivery and operational excellence.

Aufgaben

• Lead and develop a growing engineering team, improving both development velocity and operational quality.
• Manage day-to-day delivery of managed services across customer environments, ensuring reliable and consistent service.
• Establish disciplined engineering and operations processes that support scalability and ongoing improvement.
• Monitor team health indicators and improve collaboration and performance.
• Maintain focus on priorities, milestones, deliverables, and customer commitments.
• Represent the managed services team with customers, internal stakeholders, product engineering teams, and external partners.
• Ensure SLAs are consistently met across deployments worldwide.
• Drive improvements to products, processes, and operational practices based on feedback.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and operations teams to resolve complex issues and deliver reliable distributed systems.
