Job summary

BP is seeking an expert M&A Consultant to join and drive growth through acquisitions, integrations, and business transformation. You will work across the full M&A lifecycle, from due diligence to post-deal transformation, collaborating with leaders to shape future operating models and integration plans.

You will analyse business, workforce, and financial data, facilitate workshops, and guide teams through change, ensuring value creation and sustained benefits for BP in a fast-moving environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in mergers and acquisitions, strategy consulting, organisational consulting, business transformation, or a related field.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to turn complex information into clear recommendations.
• Experience supporting organisational change, large-scale transformation, or integration programmes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Confidence working with people at all levels of an organisation.
• Experience facilitating workshops, meetings, and group decision-making sessions.
• Knowledge of culture change, employee engagement, or organisational effectiveness programmes.
• The ability to influence outcomes through collaboration, credibility, and strong relationship-building skills.
• Sound judgement when handling sensitive people and organisational matters.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including data analysis, financial modelling, and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Supporting and leading activities across the M&A lifecycle, including due diligence, integration planning, and post-acquisition transformation.
• Assessing acquisition opportunities, identifying value creation opportunities, operational impacts, and business risks.
• Partnering with leaders and teams to compose future operating models, organisational structures, and integration plans.
• Facilitating workshops and collaborative discussions to tackle business challenges and support decision-making.
• Helping align cultures, behaviours, and ways of working while supporting employees through change.
• Developing engagement and communication plans that keep employees advised, involved, and motivated.
• Identifying leadership strengths, key talent, and organisational capability needs within acquired businesses.
• Analysing business, workforce, and financial data to support recommendations and integration decisions.
• Managing organisational change activities and helping teams adapt optimally to new structures and processes.
• Working across multiple business functions to help achieve integration objectives and deliver measurable outcomes.
• Contributing ideas and insights that support BP’s long-term growth and transformation ambitions.
