Job summary

Erste Group is seeking an Expert in Strategic Initiatives to drive the organization's strategy development, planning and execution. You will lead the overall Strategic Planning Process, coordinate alignment with local heads, and ensure consistency with the Financial Health vision and Group Strategy.

The role requires 7+ years in strategy or portfolio management within financial services, consulting or IT, plus strong leadership, communication and cross-cultural collaboration skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in strategy, program/project or portfolio management.
• Leadership abilities with experience guiding teams through strategic changes and cross-department collaboration.
• Advanced problem-solving capabilities with a hands-on, flexible mindset.
• Excellent communication skills to persuade and present to key stakeholders.
• Strong business orientation and ability to partner with line managers and operating teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead, develop and strengthen the Strategic Planning Process for Erste Group in collaboration with CEO & CFO to drive alignment across the group.
• Design and implement strategic development methodologies and steering mechanisms adopted by stakeholders.
• Research strategic topics and market developments to inform group strategy and competitive analysis.
• Act as a trusted advisor and facilitate alignment sessions across the group and local units.
