TSL GmbH invites applications for a senior Lifting Director to oversee all lifting operations at project sites across EMEA. You will plan, supervise, and continuously improve lifting plans, method statements, and risk assessments, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

You will lead the crane team, manage competence and training, coordinate logistics with other trades, and deliver high-quality, on-time installations of precast elements with a strong focus on quality and value for money.

Key Responsibilities of the Lifting Director:

• Assessing, planning and supervising all lifting operations, including preparing and continuously updating Lifting Operations Plans, Method Statements and Risk Assessments.
• Selecting and deploying the crane team, leading the lifting team, and overseeing competence assessments, certifications and required training.
• Ensuring proper inspection, maintenance and documentation of all lifting equipment, machinery and accessories.
• Planning, organizing and providing technical oversight for the installation of precast concrete elements, including erection sequences and required lifting and rigging methods.
• Coordinating logistics, delivery and on‑site handling of precast components in alignment with crane operations, site traffic and involved trades.
• Supervising the alignment, temporary bracing and final fixing of precast elements in accordance with technical specifications and quality standards.
• Ensuring safety and structural stability throughout all precast installation activities, including compliance with legal and industry requirements.
• Documenting installation processes, quality inspections and approvals.
• Liaising and coordinating with authorities, airfields, police and neighbouring property owners (e.g., over‑sailing rights).
• Working closely with the Temporary Works Coordinator, precast manufacturers, structural engineers, subcontractors and other trades.
• Engaging early with procurement and package managers regarding requirements, lifting points and training needs.
• Ensuring functionality of all safety‑critical systems such as hook cameras, PPE and communication tools.
• Establishing and monitoring an effective process for reporting and managing defects or incidents.
• Organizing and conducting meetings and briefings, and participating in DABs.
• Preparing relevant KPI reports such as crane usage, breakdowns and operational performance.
• Performing or delegating the roles of Crane Coordinator, Crane Supervisor and MEWP Coordinator.
