Internship Graduate School Data Analysis

• Part Time (20 h/w; flexible working hours)
• Starting at € 1,887* gross/month depending on level of education (basis full-time 40 h/w). Duration: 6 months (ideal start date March 15, 2026)

Your Responsibilities

Promoting excellence in graduate education, the Graduate School Office (GSO) is a core administrative unit of ISTA. It is responsible for graduate student recruitment, admission and PhD program administration. As the Graduate School grows, our office works with an increasing volume of data and aims at enhancing its data-driven approach. We are looking for an intern to help us with the following tasks:

• Extract, clean and harmonize data from our systems (application management tool, student lifecycle management tool, marketing & recruitment tools, website)
• Identify trends, patterns and relationships
• Analyze data to address specific questions
• Record and organize results in a structured manner
• Implement models for forecasting and predictive analytics
• Develop solutions that align with institutional goals
• Generate reports and visualizations
• Create and maintain documentation about data management procedures

Your Profile

• Completed or ongoing degree in Data Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Business Analytics, Computer Science or a related field
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (including PivotTables and advanced formulas) and programming languages (like Python, R or SQL)
• Strong grasp of ethical data management practices and privacy standards
• Ability to analyze data sets of various sizes and extract key lessons learned
• Aptitude to communicate results in a clear and concise manner, both visually and verbally
• Ability to follow instructions with precision and attention to detail
• Organizational and time management skills
• Very good written and verbal command of English (working language)
• Genuine curiosity and hands-on mentality
• Experience with business intelligence software (like Power BI or Tableau) is of advantage
