Job summary

ALDI SÜD HOLDING is seeking a senior performance analytics professional to own and evolve the global analytical framework for store performance across countries and formats. You will analyze large store portfolios, identify drivers and improve recommendations with Finance and Operations teams.

You will build dashboards and driver trees in Power BI and SAP, communicating insights to senior stakeholders; English is essential and German is a plus.

Qualifications

• Several years of experience in controlling, FP&A, commercial analytics or performance management.
• Degree in business/finance/economics or related discipline.
• Proven ability to analyze large, heterogeneous datasets and turn findings into actions.
• Advanced Power BI knowledge (data modelling, Power Query, DAX) and strong Excel skills; SAP/SAP BW/S4HANA experience valuable.
• Solid understanding of store economics and retail drivers like sales density and gross margin.
• Ability to challenge data, communicate limitations, and influence stakeholders globally.
• Excellent English; German is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own and enhance the global analytical framework for store performance across countries and maturity stages.
• Analyze large store portfolios to identify patterns and performance gaps and separate drivers.
• Assess performance potential at store, cluster, region and country levels and prioritise opportunities.
• Build driver trees and explain variances in sales, gross profit, labour productivity and costs.
• Partner with country Finance and Operations to validate findings and drive actionable improvements.
• Develop benchmarks, analyses and scenario-based business cases, including ramp curves and segmentation.
• Design management-ready performance narratives using Power BI and SAP, with transparent methodology.
• Provide concise recommendations to senior stakeholders and contribute to reporting standards.
