Job summary

United European Gastroenterology GmbH in Vienna is seeking an experienced Education Events Manager to plan and deliver face-to-face educational courses in Vienna and across Europe. You will manage from initial planning through on-site delivery, coordinating with course directors and faculty while handling logistics, budgets, and participant management.

The role requires 3 years of event experience, strong project management, supplier negotiations, and fluency in English; German is a plus.

Qualifications

• 3 years’ experience delivering end-to-end events (medical/scientific/non-profit preferred).
• Strong project management with timelines and budgets.
• Experience negotiating with suppliers and managing contracts.
• Fluent English; German is a plus.
• Detail-oriented and structured work style.
• Excellent MS Office skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and run face-to-face courses from planning to on-site delivery and follow-up.
• Track timelines and budgets, identify issues early and meet deadlines.
• Advise course directors on programme design, group sizes, formats, and room setups.
• Source and manage suppliers (hotels, venues, AV, catering, social programme).
• Handle logistics for course directors and faculty, invitations, travel reimbursements.
• Manage participants in the application system (registration, payments, communication).
• Collaborate with Sponsoring, Marketing, and Promotion teams.
• Be the on-site go-to person and solve problems quickly.
• Prepare statistics and reports to improve future courses.
