Telnyx seeks a VoIP Engineer to design and guide telephony features across the platform, triage escalations, and coordinate interconnections with partners. You’ll work with Kamailio/OpenSIPS and other open-source tools while ensuring robust monitoring and diagnostics.

You’ll collaborate with global users and engineering teams to deliver reliable communications solutions and scalable telephony services across cloud-based infrastructure.

Formación

• Degree in Computer Science, IT, Telecommunications or similar is required.
• Strong understanding of IP telephony, VoIP and related protocols (SIP, RTP, RTCP, ISUP, TLS, STUN, TURN, WebRTC).
• Experience with Open Source VoIP apps and related tools (Kamailio, OpenSIPS, FreeSWITCH, RTPEngine, Asterisk, Wireshark, sngrep, Homer).

Responsabilidades

• Understand how all Telephony services work and how they integrate with the platform.
• Operate, maintain, expand and support SIP proxies based on Kamailio or OpenSIPS.
• Handle level 3 troubleshooting escalations and triaging.
• Analyze telephony traffic patterns and identify issues and anomalies.
• React to critical alerts to rapidly restore full service.
• Troubleshoot and resolve voice and network protocol issues.
• Interface with partner organizations for interconnections and expansions.
• Design, build, test, deploy and maintain monitoring and logging for Telephony applications.
• Coordinate system maintenance and deployment events.
