Job summary

RateHawk is seeking an experienced Level 2 Tax & Accounting Support Specialist to join our remote team in Argentina. You will handle complex US accounting, tax, payroll, and bookkeeping inquiries with independence and strong technical judgment.

Ideal candidates possess CPA/EA credentials preferred, outstanding English communication, and the ability to work shifting hours aligned with US business times. Remote collaboration with US-based clients and teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Professional accounting experience, ideally with exposure to US accounting and taxation.
• Strong working knowledge of bookkeeping, tax return review, reconciliations, payroll and financial reporting.
• Experience handling complex tax and accounting inquiries, notices, and customer-facing financial support.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.
• Analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and independent problem-solving skills.
• Ability to explain complex topics to nontechnical customers.

Responsibilities

• Provide Level 2 support for complex US accounting, tax, bookkeeping, and payroll inquiries.
• Investigate and resolve escalated accounting and tax tickets.
• Review and troubleshoot bookkeeping discrepancies, reconciliations, and transactions.
• Assist customers with tax questions, notices, filing status, and tax return inquiries.
• Support payroll questions, setup, processing, and troubleshooting.
• Communicate findings via Zendesk, email, and scheduled calls.
• Independently identify root causes and coordinate with specialists.
• Document resolutions and maintain accurate customer records.
• Identify recurring issues and improve workflows and knowledge resources.
