Job summary

RateHawk is seeking an experienced accounting professional to provide specialized Level 2 support for complex US accounting, tax, bookkeeping, and payroll inquiries. This role requires genuine technical accounting judgment and the ability to independently investigate and resolve complex issues.

Coverage includes 8:00 AM–8:00 PM ET with staggered shifts to align US business hours. Strong English communication, analytical skills, and CPA/EA credentials are highly valued, along with comfort using

Qualifications

Professional accounting experience with US accounting and taxation exposure.
Ability to review tax returns, perform reconciliations, and handle payroll questions.

Responsibilities

Provide specialized Level 2 support for complex US accounting, tax, bookkeeping, and payroll inquiries.
Investigate and resolve escalated accounting and tax tickets.
Review and troubleshoot bookkeeping discrepancies, reconciliations, and transactions.
Assist customers with tax-related inquiries, notices, and filing status questions.
Support payroll questions, setup, and processing issues.
Communicate findings clearly via Zendesk, email, and scheduled calls.
Identify root causes and coordinate with internal specialists when needed.
Document resolutions and maintain accurate customer records.
Assist in improving workflows and knowledge resources.
