Job summary

Whizz is seeking an experienced accounting professional to provide specialized Level 2 support for complex US accounting, tax, bookkeeping, and payroll inquiries. The role requires genuine technical accounting judgment and the ability to independently investigate and resolve issues.

The position offers coverage from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM ET with shifts tailored to US business hours. Prior experience with tax notices and filings is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Professional accounting experience, ideally with US accounting and taxation exposure.
• Ability to explain complex topics to nontechnical customers.
• Strong written and verbal English communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide Level 2 support for complex US accounting, tax, bookkeeping, and payroll inquiries.
• Investigate and resolve escalated accounting and tax tickets.
• Review and troubleshoot bookkeeping discrepancies and reconciliations.
• Support payroll questions, setup, processing issues, and troubleshooting.
• Communicate findings via Zendesk, email, and scheduled calls.
