Job summary

Fluor is seeking a Technical SEO Lead for a fully remote role serving a US-based higher education marketing agency. You will own technical SEO across client accounts, run audits, and write developer-ready specs while building Claude-based tools to streamline audits, reporting, QA, and content production.

You bring 5+ years in SEO with strong technical expertise and hands-on experience with GSC, GA4, Screaming Frog, and Ahrefs/Semrush.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in SEO, with at least 3 focused on technical SEO, ideally at an agency or across multiple sites at once.
• Deep hands-on experience with Google Search Console, GA4, Screaming Frog, and Ahrefs or Semrush.
• Strong working knowledge of WordPress: themes, plugins, redirects, and schema.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical SEO across client accounts.
• Run technical audits covering crawlability, indexation, site architecture, internal linking, Core Web Vitals, structured data, redirects, and broken links.
• Prioritize issues by impact and effort, and defend those calls.
• Write dev-ready specs for web developers and client teams, then follow through until fixes are released and verified.
• Handle light WordPress implementation: titles, meta descriptions, redirects, and schema using Yoast or Rank Math.
• Monitor Google Search Console and GA4 to catch drops, errors, and indexing problems.
• Own technical readiness for AI search (AEO/GEO): crawler access, structured data, entity optimization, content structure for LLMs.
• Build the systems that scale the SEO service.
• Design and build Claude-based tools, agents, and workflows for audits, prioritization, reporting, and QA.
• Build content production systems that convert briefs into near-publish-ready drafts.
