Job summary

YO AI Labs is seeking a Technical SEO Lead for a remote role with a U.S.-based higher education marketing agency. You will own technical audits, optimize crawlability, and write developer-ready specs, while also designing Claude-based tools to streamline audits, reporting, and QA.

You'll collaborate with an SEO Lead and Executive Director of SEO, manage multiple client accounts, and drive scalable systems across WordPress sites and AI-enabled search workflows.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in SEO with at least 3 focused on technical SEO.
• Agency experience or multi-site ownership across accounts is preferred.
• Proven ability to identify high-impact issues and drive fixes.
• Hands-on experience with Claude AI for agents and workflows.
• Clear written specs and client communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical SEO across client accounts.
• Run technical audits covering crawlability, indexation, site architecture, internal linking, Core Web Vitals, structured data, redirects, and broken links.
• Prioritize issues by impact and effort and defend those decisions.
• Write dev-ready specs for web developers and client teams, then follow through until fixes are released and verified.
• Handle WordPress tweaks: titles, meta descriptions, plugin redirects, and schema with Yoast/Rank Math.
• Monitor Google Search Console and GA4 for drops, errors, and indexing problems.
• Own technical readiness for AI search (AEO/GEO) and structure content for LLM-driven search.
• Build scalable systems for the SEO service and Claude-based tools/workflows.
• Translate standards into reusable systems and train the team on them.
