Job summary

EPAM Systems is seeking a Senior UX Designer to shape Unreal Engine UI specifications and prototypes. You will connect design vision with engineering execution, defining focus-driven navigation, interaction models, and a scalable UI component framework for cross-platform play.

You will ensure feasibility and performance by collaborating with engineers and UI artists, producing implementation-ready deliverables, and adapting designs after playtesting and QA feedback.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in UI/UX for digital products or gaming interfaces.
• Proficient in Figma with components, variants, auto-layout and engineering handoff docs.
• Able to produce annotated screen designs, interaction breakdowns, state diagrams and acceptance criteria.
• Understand Unreal Engine UI constraints and UMG concepts like layout, anchoring, scaling, and widget states.
• Experience designing UI that scales across resolutions and input types (controller, keyboard/mouse).
• Communicate effectively in English at B2 level or above.

Responsibilities

• Outline UI flows and interaction models for game features and screens for development.
• Build and evolve a reusable UI component framework with patterns and states.
• Document behavior for focus, navigation, input handling, errors, and edge cases.
• Collaborate with engineers and UI artists to ensure feasible, performant designs.
• Review builds and iterate designs based on technical feedback and QA results.
