Evox is seeking a Technical SEO Lead for a fully remote role serving U.S.-based higher education clients. You will own technical SEO across a portfolio, perform audits, and build Claude-based tools to streamline workflows.

Candidates need 5+ years in SEO (3+ in technical SEO), hands-on with Google Search Console, GA4, Screaming Frog, Ahrefs or Semrush, and WordPress; you will write developer specs and guide teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in SEO, with 3+ focused on technical SEO
• Proven ability to run technical audits and write developer specs
• Hands-on with Google Search Console, GA4, and SEO tools
• Strong WordPress familiarity for on-site optimizations
• Experience building AI-assisted workflows and Claude-based tools

Responsabilités

• Lead technical SEO across client accounts
• Run audits covering crawlability, indexation, architecture, internal linking, Core Web Vitals, structured data, redirects, broken links
• Prioritize issues by impact and effort
• Write dev-ready specs and follow through on fixes
• Handle light WordPress changes: titles, meta descriptions, redirects, schema
• Monitor GSC and GA4 to detect drops and indexing problems
• Prepare AI-ready readiness for search (AEO/GEO)
• Build scalable systems for the SEO service
• Design Claude-based tools and workflows for audits, reporting, QA
• Create content production systems from briefs to near-publish drafts
• Document systems and train the team, track time savings
• Be the go-to technical resource and join client calls when needed
• Evaluate emerging search technologies and recommend tools
