Job summary

Evox is seeking a Technical SEO Lead to manage a portfolio of higher education clients, focusing on technical audits, on-page optimization, and AI-driven workflows to scale SEO across multiple sites.

You'll write developer-ready specs, work with WordPress implementations, monitor GSC/GA4, and build Claude-based tools to automate audits, reporting, and QA while operating fully remote for a US-based agency.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in SEO, with at least 3 focused on technical SEO.
• Agency experience or managing multiple sites at once.
• Hands-on with GSC, GA4, Screaming Frog, and Ahrefs/Semrush.
• Clear written communication; can spec fixes for developers.
• Comfort owning outcomes across many accounts.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical SEO across client accounts and audits.
• Run audits covering crawlability, indexation, site architecture, internal linking, CWV, structured data, redirects, and broken links.
• Write dev-ready specs and shepherd fixes to live verification.
• Build Claude-based tools, agents, and workflows for audits, reporting, QA, and content production.
• Monitor GSC and GA4 to catch drops and indexing problems early.
• Own readiness for AI search (AEO/GEO) and document scalable systems.
• Design systems to scale the SEO service and train the team.
