Job summary

EY is seeking an experienced Technical SEO Lead to oversee technical SEO across a portfolio of higher education clients. The role includes performing audits, writing developer-ready specifications, and implementing fixes while also building Claude-based tools to automate audits and reporting.

The position requires deep hands-on SEO skills, familiarity with WordPress, and strong communication to guide teams and clients through complex technical topics. Fully remote, global collaboration expected.

Qualifications

5+ years in SEO, with at least 3 focused on technical SEO, ideally at an agency or across multiple sites
Track record of uncovering high-impact issues and driving fixes
Hands-on experience with Claude, including building agents and AI-assisted workflows

Responsibilities

Lead technical SEO across client accounts
Run technical audits covering crawlability, indexation, site architecture, internal linking, Core Web Vitals, structured data, redirects, and broken links
Write dev-ready specs for web developers and client teams and follow through until fixes are released
Monitor Google Search Console and GA4 to catch drops, errors, and indexing problems
Design and build Claude-based tools, agents, and workflows for audits, reporting, and QA
Build content production systems that translate briefs into near-publish-ready drafts
