Sezzle is building the platform that will carry us from a BNPL provider into a full-stack financial institution. This role owns the system at the center of that: Sezzle’s banking core — the ledger, accounts and balances, and the money movement that every future Sezzle financial product will run on.

You would own it end to end—from discovery, architecture and vendor decisions to requirements, build, launch, and ongoing operations.

Formación

• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Engineering, CS, or other technical discipline is required.
• 5–10 years of product experience with financial infrastructure.
• Deep ownership in ledgers, payments, or card programs is valued.
• Strong SQL skills and data-driven approach.
• Experience collaborating with Compliance, Legal, Finance stakeholders.

Responsabilidades

• Own the banking platform roadmap end-to-end (accounts, deposits, cards, and lending).
• Evaluate build-vs-buy options; manage vendor diligence and cost/time-to-market.
• Shape the account and ledger model with engineering and finance.
• Specify money movement: transfers, real-time rails, settlement, and reversals.
• Ensure the platform is auditable with required reporting and controls.
• Collaborate with Compliance/Legal to translate regulatory requirements into platform capabilities.
