Job summary

Darwoft is hiring a Senior/Staff Software Engineer to join its AI-native engineering approach in LATAM. You will navigate a large codebase, design and implement product capabilities, and drive architectural decisions while leveraging Claude Code, Codex, and other AI coding agents to accelerate delivery.

The role emphasizes production software quality, reliability, and ownership in a remote, contractor-friendly environment.

Qualifications

Production software experience required in large-scale systems.
Strong fundamentals in architecture and system design.
Expertise with APIs and distributed architectures.
Experience debugging, testing, and maintaining complex codebases.
Familiarity with cloud environments and CI/CD pipelines.
Ability to reason about trade-offs and own technical decisions.
Self-driven, ownership mindset with strong collaboration.

Responsibilities

Navigate and evolve a large production codebase.
Design and implement new product capabilities for a complex SaaS platform.
Make pragmatic architectural decisions as the product scales.
Identify technical debt and reliability issues and drive improvements.
Utilize Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Copilot, and similar AI tools throughout development.
Develop backend services, APIs, data models, and workflows.
Strengthen automated testing, observability, and production readiness.
Collaborate with product leadership to translate business problems into technical solutions.
