Job summary

Proofpoint is seeking a Software Engineer III for its Unified Detection team in Córdoba, Argentina. You will build and deploy large-scale threat-detection services, writing clean, well-tested code and taking ownership of features within a fast-paced engineering culture.

You will work on distributed systems in cloud environments, using Kubernetes and Docker, with a focus on observability and secure, automated testing practices. This role offers growth with a global team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Systems (or equivalent practical experience).
• 4+ years of software development experience.
• Proficiency in Python or Golang.
• Experience with distributed systems, cloud environments, and containerized workloads (Kubernetes, Docker).
• Experience with observability/monitoring tools (Grafana, Kibana).
• Experience with RESTful APIs, secure coding, and automated testing.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to moderately complex features and components in the Unified Detection system.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code with good test coverage.
• Take ownership of smaller features or components and ensure quality through testing.
• Collaborate with the team, participate in code reviews and retrospectives.
• Communicate risks early and work with the team to address blockers within timelines.
