Proofpoint in Córdoba, Argentina is seeking a Software Engineer II to join our Unified Detection team, building and deploying large-scale threat detection services. You will write clean, tested code and own small features in a fast-paced engineering culture.

The right candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Systems and 2+ years of software development experience, with proficiency in Python, Go, or Java, plus experience with Kubernetes, Docker, AWS, and observability

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Systems (or equivalent practical experience).
• 2+ years of experience developing software, with growing proficiency in Python, Go, or Java.
• Experience with observability or monitoring tools (Grafana, Kibana, or similar).
• Developing understanding of distributed systems, cloud environments (AWS or similar), and containerized workloads (Kubernetes, Docker).
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs, secure coding foundations, and automated testing practices.

Responsabilidades

• Contribute to moderately complex features and components, ensuring your work integrates seamlessly into the larger detection system.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code - leave the codebase better than you found it.
• Begin taking ownership of smaller features or components, ensuring quality through thorough testing.
• Work with minimal supervision on routine tasks, and proactively seek guidance when facing unfamiliar challenges.
• Anticipate potential blockers, communicate risks early, and collaborate with the team to address them within established timelines.
• Collaborate well with teammates - listen actively, incorporate feedback, and contribute constructively to reviews and discussions.
• Actively participate in code reviews and retrospectives, providing constructive input and implementing feedback with a growth mindset.
