Job summary

Proofpoint in Córdoba, Argentina is seeking a Software Engineer III to join our Unified Detection team, building and deploying large-scale threat detection services. You will develop in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and contribute to detection capabilities across our security product offerings.

You should have 4+ years of software development experience in Python or Golang, plus hands-on work with distributed systems, cloud platforms, and containerized workloads.

Qualifications

• BSCS or IS degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 4+ years of software development experience.
• Proficiency in Python or Golang.
• Experience with distributed systems and cloud environments.
• Familiarity with containerized workloads (Kubernetes, Docker).
• Experience with observability/monitoring tools (Grafana, Kibana).
• Experience with RESTful APIs and automated testing.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to moderately complex features and components within the detection system.
• Write clean, maintainable code with thorough testing.
• Take ownership of smaller features or components.
• Collaborate with the team and participate in code reviews and retrospectives.
