Job summary

Proofpoint in Córdoba, Argentina is seeking a Software Engineer III to join our Unified Detection team, building and deploying large-scale threat detection services for cybersecurity products. You’ll write clean, well-tested code and own features from design through delivery.

You’ll collaborate with peers, operate in a fast-paced environment, and grow your skills with guidance from senior engineers while contributing to protection against threats across email, cloud, and SaaS platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Systems or equivalent practical experience.
• 4+ years of software development experience with Python or Golang.
• Experience with distributed systems, cloud environments (AWS/Azure), and containerized workloads (Kubernetes, Docker).
• Experience with observability/monitoring tools (Grafana, Kibana) preferred.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, secure coding, and automated testing practices.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to moderately complex features/components and integrate into the larger detection system.
• Write clean, maintainable, efficient code and improve the codebase.
• Own smaller features or components with thorough testing.
• Work with minimal supervision and seek guidance as needed.
• Anticipate blockers, communicate risks, and collaborate to meet timelines.
• Collaborate effectively, participate in code reviews and retrospectives with a growth mindset.
