Job summary

AgileEngine seeks a Senior Data Engineer to own and improve a Snowflake-based data platform in a regulated healthcare environment. You will design robust data pipelines with dbt, Python, and AWS services, orchestrate jobs with Argo on Kubernetes, and mentor engineers while collaborating with Analytics, Security, and Governance teams to ensure reliability, performance, and compliant data access.

The role requires strong SQL, data modeling skills, and experience with ingestion tools like Fivetran

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in Data Engineering or Data Platform Engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake, data-layer design, and production troubleshooting.
• Advanced SQL skills and experience with dbt for transformation, testing, and lineage.
• Experience operating managed ingestion tools like Fivetran or HVR and custom pipelines.
• Hands-on experience with AWS data services (S3, ingestion patterns).
• Experience with Argo Workflows on Kubernetes or similar orchestration tools.
• Proficiency in Python for data engineering and automation.
• Understanding of data modeling, schema evolution, and data quality.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior technical ownership for the Data Platform service tower during LatAm coverage window.
• Operate and improve Snowflake production environments and support changes.
• Administer data access with least-privilege and audit-ready controls.
• Operate and improve ingestion across Fivetran, HVR, and custom pipelines.
• Design, build, and maintain pipelines and dbt models across RAW, CURATED, CONSUMPTION layers.
• Support S3 data-lake operations and downstream Snowflake workloads.
• Coordinate with Cloud/DevOps for Argo Workflows and Kubernetes workloads.
• Define and improve data quality and observability standards.
• Lead or support major data incidents and post-incident reviews.
• Mentor engineers and ensure effective handoffs across teams.
