Job summary

AgileEngine is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to operate and improve a Snowflake-based data platform within a regulated healthcare environment. You will own data platform operations across Snowflake, dbt, and AWS data services, while mentoring engineers and collaborating with Cloud/DevOps and business stakeholders.

The role requires 5+ years of data engineering experience, strong SQL and Python skills, and hands-on experience with orchestration tools like Argo on Kubernetes.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in data engineering or data platform engineering.
Strong Snowflake design, performance, and production troubleshooting.
Advanced SQL and dbt for transformation, testing, and lineage.
Experience with Fivetran or HVR and ingestion pipelines.
Hands-on AWS data services and S3 usage.
Orchestrating data workloads with Argo Workflows on Kubernetes.
Proficiency in Python for data tooling.
Knowledge of data modeling, schema evolution, and data quality.

Responsibilities

Provide senior technical ownership for the Data Platform service tower during LatAm coverage.
Operate Snowflake production and non-production environments with tuning and hygiene.
Administer data access under least-privilege controls and audit readiness.
Oversee data ingestion across Fivetran, HVR, and custom pipelines.
Design and maintain pipelines and dbt models across RAW, CURATED, CONSUMPTION.
Support S3 data-lake operations and downstream Snowflake workloads.
Coordinate with Cloud/DevOps on Argo Workflows and Kubernetes workloads.
Define data quality and observability standards with tests and alerts.
Lead data incidents, root-cause analysis, and preventive actions.
