Job summary

AgileEngine is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to operate and improve a Snowflake-based enterprise data platform in a regulated healthcare environment. The role focuses on data modeling, ETL orchestration, and production incident resolution, with leadership responsibilities across data teams.

Applicants should have 5+ years in data engineering, strong Snowflake/dbt skills, AWS experience, and proficiency in Python.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in data engineering or data platform engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake including data-layer design and production troubleshooting.
• Advanced SQL skills and strong dbt experience for transformation, testing, and lineage.
• Experience with Fivetran or HVR and custom data-ingestion pipelines.
• Hands‑on AWS data services experience, especially S3 and ingestion patterns.
• Experience with Argo Workflows on Kubernetes and other workflow-automation tools.
• Proficiency in Python and data engineering tooling.
• Knowledge of data modeling, schema evolution, backfills, and data quality.
• Experience with observability, logging, alerting, and incident management.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior technical ownership for the Data Platform during LatAm coverage.
• Operate Snowflake production and non-production environments for performance and reliability.
• Administer data access with least-privilege controls and audit-ready practices.
• Develop and maintain ingestion pipelines across Fivetran, HVR, and custom code.
• Design and maintain dbt models across RAW, CURATED, CONSUMPTION layers with CI/CD.
• Support AWS S3 data-lake operations and downstream Snowflake workloads.
• Coordinate with Cloud/DevOps for Argo/Kubernetes workloads and deployments.
• Define data quality and observability standards, including freshness checks.
• Expand monitoring and lineage using dbt, Snowflake audit data, and Splunk.
• Lead or support major data incidents and post-incident reviews.
