Job summary

Tether is seeking an Automation QA Engineer to own automated and manual testing for desktop and mobile apps. You’ll integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines, diagnose failures, and collaborate with developers to ensure high quality across product releases.

You’ll test Electron/React Native apps on real devices, use AI tools in QA, and contribute to robust regression suites in a globally distributed, remote team.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in QA automation and hands-on manual testing.
• Experience running tests in CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions).
• Hands-on experience with Playwright for desktop or web, and WebdriverIO + Appium for mobile.
• Experience testing Electron and/or React Native apps, including on real iOS and Android devices.
• Experience using AI tools in QA and critically reviewing their outputs; testing AI-powered apps is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain desktop and mobile test automation for critical user flows.
• Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines and keep them fast and reliable.
• Investigate failures, fix flaky tests, and manage test data and environments.
• Report clear, reproducible bugs and verify fixes.
• Work with developers and product on testability and acceptance criteria.
• Perform hands-on functional, exploratory, and regression testing of new features.
• Choose manual or automated coverage based on risk; maintain regression suites.
