Job summary

Tether is seeking an Automation QA Engineer to own desktop and mobile test automation and manual testing for our cutting-edge fintech apps. You will build reliable test suites, integrate them into CI/CD, and collaborate with developers to ensure testability and robust releases.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years in QA, hands-on Playwright and WebdriverIO for desktop/web and mobile, and experience testing Electron or React Native apps on real devices. This is a remote, globally distributed team role.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in QA automation with hands-on manual and exploratory testing experience.
• Experience running tests in CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions).
• Hands-on experience with desktop/web automation using Playwright; mobile automation with WebdriverIO + Appium.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain desktop and mobile test automation for critical user flows.
• Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines and keep them fast and reliable.
• Investigate failures, fix flaky tests, and manage test data and environments.
• Report clear, reproducible bugs and verify fixes.
• Work with developers and product on testability and acceptance criteria.
• Perform hands-on functional, exploratory, and regression testing of new features.
• Choose manual or automated coverage based on risk; maintain regression suites.
