Job summary

Tether is seeking an Automation QA Engineer to own desktop and mobile test automation, integrate tests into CI/CD, and ensure robust quality across platforms. You will investigate failures, fix flaky tests, manage test data, and collaborate with developers and product teams to improve testability and acceptance criteria.

Experience with Playwright, WebdriverIO/Appium, and testing Electron/React Native apps is highly valued.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in a software quality assurance role.
• 3+ years of experience in automated testing.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Possess a mindset focused on holistic quality.
• Experience writing and working with Gherkin for behavior-driven development.
• Experience with prompt engineering and harness engineering.
• Experience building Agentic skills focused on Quality Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Build regression automation scripts that support app functionality.
• Manually test software for validation and accuracy based on defined criteria.
• Execute smoke, regression, integration, performance and other testing types.
• Record detailed documentation of feature behavior.
• Record pass/fails conditions of tests and correlate failures to bug identification.
• Identify and elevate any risk to quality of the product or the process.
• Collaborate with the product team to ensure quality throughout the SDLC and product release cycles.
• Collaborate with customer-facing teams to incorporate user feedback in testing strategy.
• Participate in refinement and estimations of effort to promote accurate planning.
• Utilize GitHub to maintain automation repositories, run scripts, and facilitate automated quality practices.
• Participate in On-Call rotation.
