Job summary

Tether is seeking an Automation QA Engineer to own both manual and automated QA for desktop and mobile apps. You will build robust automation, integrate tests into CI/CD, investigate failures, and ensure quality across features with attention to testability and acceptance criteria.

Experience with Playwright/WebdriverIO, AI QA tools, and testing in real-world environments is highly valued. Global remote work is offered.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in a software quality assurance role.
• 3+ years of experience in automated testing.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Mindset focused on holistic quality.
• Experience writing and working with Gherkin for behavior-driven development.
• Experience with prompt engineering and harness engineering.
• Experience building Agentic skills focused on Quality Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Build regression automation scripts that support app functionality.
• Manually test software for validation and accuracy based on defined criteria.
• Execute smoke, regression, integration, performance and other testing types.
• Record detailed documentation of feature behavior.
• Record pass/fails conditions of tests and correlate failures to bugs.
• Identify and elevate any risk to quality of the product or process.
• Collaborate with product team to ensure quality throughout SDLC and release cycles.
• Collaborate with customer-facing teams to incorporate user feedback in testing strategy.
• Participate in refinement and estimations of effort for accurate planning.
• Utilize GitHub to maintain automation repositories and run tests.
• Participate in On-Call rotation.
