Job summary

APM Terminals is seeking a Network Engineer to operate, secure, monitor, and continuously improve the terminal network infrastructure across IT and OT. Based on-site in Callao, Lima, Peru, you will ensure reliable connectivity supporting 24/7 operations and contribute to cybersecurity and modernization initiatives.

The role requires five+ years in enterprise networking, Cisco and firewall experience, and CCNP-level certification or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Five+ years hands-on experience supporting enterprise networking environments.
• Experience in 24/7 or business-critical operations is preferred.
• Proficient in TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLANs, WAN, wireless, DNS/DHCP, NAT, redundancy, troubleshooting.
• Experience with Cisco and firewall technologies (Fortinet, Check Point, Cisco Firepower).
• Familiar with network monitoring tools like SolarWinds, Zabbix, Wireshark.
• CCNP-level certification or equivalent networking expertise; security/cloud networking/ITIL certs are a plus.
• Excellent English communication and collaboration with international teams.
• Ability to work hands-on in operational and field environments.

Responsibilities

• Operate and support enterprise LAN, WAN, WLAN, internet connectivity and network services for IT and OT.
• Monitor network health, performance, capacity, and availability for 24/7 terminal operations.
• Troubleshoot incidents involving routing, switching, wireless, firewalls, DNS/DHCP, latency and packet loss.
• Implement cybersecurity controls including firewall administration and device hardening.
• Lead network-related projects from design through handover and documentation.
• Maintain accurate network documentation, inventories, IP records and configurations.
• Drive root-cause analysis and continuous improvement to reduce recurring incidents.
