Job summary

Optery is seeking a senior lifecycle marketer to own email, in-app messaging, and push notifications across the full customer journey. You’ll design journeys, build campaigns, write or direct copy, run experiments, and report results with full ownership of strategy and execution.

You will map activation, activation, retention, and expansion, and work with marketing automation platforms (Customer.io, Iterable, Braze, Klaviyo) to launch automated flows.

Qualifications

• 5+ years leading lifecycle or email marketing programs, ideally for a subscription-based service.
• Proficient with marketing automation platforms (Customer.io, Iterable, Braze, Klaviyo) and templating languages like Liquid.
• Strong copy instincts and ability to test rather than debate.

Responsibilities

• Own lifecycle marketing roadmap across activation, retention, and expansion across channels.
• Build, launch, and iterate automated campaigns and flows in marketing platforms.
• Own in-app messaging and transactional communications with product and engineering.
• Develop mobile push strategy with opt-in flows, timing, and cross-channel coordination.
• Experimentation program with A/B tests and clear measurement of outcomes.
• Collaborate with analytics to measure lifecycle performance and link campaigns to revenue outcomes.
