Job summary

The Ward Law Group seeks a Lien Resolution Team Lead to supervise reductions and lien resolution specialists, handle the largest and most complex files, and own the performance metrics for recovery. You will lead negotiations, resolve Medicare and Medicaid liens, manage collateral sources, and mentor the team to maximize client recoveries while ensuring regulatory compliance.

This is a remote independent contractor role with a 40-hour workweek and no employee benefits; bilingual English/Spanish

Qualifications

• Minimum of four (4) years of experience in medical lien resolution, reductions, or settlement negotiation at a personal injury firm, lien resolution company, or healthcare recovery vendor.
• Minimum of 5 people managed in past roles (direct or indirect reports).
• Familiarity with Medicare Secondary Payer rules and AHCA lien processes; ERISA knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the team. Supervise, train, and evaluate a team of reductions and lien resolution specialists.
• Own the numbers: track aggregate reduction percentage, dollars saved, aging, and turnaround.
• Negotiate the hard files: handle high-balance, high-complexity reductions.
• Resolve statutory and plan liens including Medicare, Medicaid, ERISA, TRICARE, VA, and collateral sources.
• Build provider relationships and partner with attorneys to inform settlement authority.
