Svitla Systems Inc. is seeking a Senior Integration and Core Applications Engineer with Workato to join our full‑time team. You will design, implement, and optimize integrations across ERP, WMS, HRIS, and procurement platforms, focusing on reliability, scalability, and data quality.

This role spans collaboration with IT and business stakeholders, building repeatable procedures, automating DBA tasks, and ensuring 24x7 operations for mission‑critical systems in hybrid infrastructure.

Formación

• 5+ years API development experience.
• 5+ years in development, support, and maintenance of business‑critical integrations.

Senior Integration Engineer with Workato

Role overview

Svitla Systems Inc. is seeking a Senior Integration and Core Applications Engineer with Workato for a full-time (40 hours per week). Our client is a leading global toy manufacturer with an award-winning, robust portfolio of wholly owned and licensed brands. Founded in 1997, the company celebrates imaginative play with a progressive focus on identifying emerging trends and turning them into high-quality products for consumers of all ages. It engages consumers through innovative play experiences with popular brands. In addition to toys, offerings include Metaverse gaming, costumes, and pet products. The client has an internal IT department of approximately 25–28 people. The team covers a broad range of functions, including ERP, Platform Engineering, Software Development, Database Administration, EDI, Reporting & Business Intelligence, DevOps/Cloud Engineering, and Web Development.

The technology landscape includes Sage X3 ERP, Shopify (B2B and D2C), Workato integrations, AWS, SQL Server, Jira, Zendesk, and several internally developed applications. The business operates across the United States, Australia, and the UK/European markets.

You’ll be responsible for developing best practices and repeatable procedures for database deployment, as well as for day‑to‑day operational activities, including break/fix, capacity management, backup and recovery, database replication setup/management, and ongoing database change reviews. You will also work in tandem with the other teams, preparing documentation and specifications as required.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in API development.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or relevant experience preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in development, support, and maintenance of business critical applications and integrations such as ERP, WMS, HRIS, Procure-to-pay.
• 5+ years of experience with iPaaS platforms.
• Knowledge of Workato iPaaS.
• In‑depth understanding of database development tools, ETL, and integration technologies.
• Strong understanding of the overall architecture required to support common schema‑based objects used to store data and implement business logic.
• Experience in performing PL/SQL coding assignments, including stand‑alone SQL scripting and database‑stored code (triggers, packages, procedures, and functions) in compliance with standards and procedures.
• Expertise in setting up, maintaining, and enhancing partition table spaces.
• Ability to provide guidance, oversight, and peer review to more junior database developers.
• Experience in managing and resolving problems on a live production system.
• Solid understanding of SQL performance tuning techniques, including query plan understanding and management, SQL tracing, DB stats, indexing techniques, using AWR reports, etc.
• Experience with software development lifecycle and software development common practices (code reviews, unit testing, etc.).
• Advanced experience with automation of managerial and repetitive DBA tasks.
• Understanding of integration implementation on hybrid infrastructure environments (SaaS, PaaS) for critical and highly available platforms and integrations.
• Experience in designing and developing automation and integration platforms to automate business processes.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with all business and IT stakeholders to gather requirements and provide recommendations for database standards.
• Provide technical expertise to design the most efficient and cost‑effective solutions for Microsoft SQL Servers.
• Install, configure, monitor, upgrade, and maintain various databases in production and non‑production environments.
• Work closely with infrastructure operations, engineering, product development, business operations, and technical operations to ensure the delivery of database activities.
• Provide technical expertise and hands‑on support in consolidating and migrating databases to new platforms.
• Implement and support databases, storage structures, high‑availability solutions, replication, encryption, and disaster recovery solutions.
• Design, develop, and support core applications such as ERP, WMS, Source‑to‑Pay (S2P), etc.
• Lead and coach junior engineers for optimal design and implementation of software, integration, and data transformation.
• Manage, support, and maintain Microsoft SQL Server for database technology and infrastructure, adhering to the architectural guidelines and policies.
• Provide database administration for off‑the‑shelf and internally developed applications, ensuring continuous 24x7 operation and availability in support of mission‑critical business applications and on‑call participation.
• Conduct regular database capacity planning and archival solutions related to database growth and system utilization, trend analysis, predictive future database resource requirements, and the structured, organized reporting of the same.
• Provide DBA support for enterprise monitoring, backup, alerting, and security compliance solutions for SQL servers.
• Participate in the evaluation, selection, and implementation of DBA tools to improve the effectiveness of tasks such as performance monitoring and tuning, recovery, and database change management processing.
• Provide proactive and reactive performance analysis, monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolution of database issues.
• Write/maintain PowerShell scripts for DB automation and application maintenance.
• Act as an escalation point for issues that other DBAs can’t solve.
