Svitla Systems Inc. is seeking a Senior Front End Engineer for a full-time role in Argentina. The candidate will craft scalable, accessible front-end templates and components, focusing on email-like experiences, localization across 100+ locales, and per-recipient personalization.

• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering (or related field) with a minimum of 5 years of related experience, or a Master’s degree with 3+ years of experience.
• Solid experience as a front-end engineer, not an email developer first.
• A strong knowledge of macros (#set, #if, #foreach, #define).
• Understanding of scalable design systems, building and using shared components over one-off, hand-authored HTML, and knowledge of when to extend a component versus build a new one.
• Strong knowledge of Git (GitLab/GitHub), the command line, and your IDE of choice.
• Experience building for scale and personalization, including localization to 100+ locales and per-recipient customization.
• Proven experience connecting to, querying, and consuming data from various APIs and formatting data into dynamic emails.
• Understanding of hand-coding highly responsive, accessible HTML/CSS for email clients.
• Apache Velocity (VTL) is preferred; strong server-side templating knowledge is a plus.

Svitla Systems Inc. is looking for a Senior Front End Engineer for a full-time position (40 hours per week) in Argentina. Our client is one of the world’s largest and fastest-growing job sites.

REQUIREMENTS

• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering (or related field) with a minimum of 5 years of related experience, or a Master’s degree with 3+ years of experience.
• Solid experience as a front-end engineer, not an email developer first.
• A strong knowledge of macros ( #set, #if, #foreach, #define).
• Understanding of scalable design systems, building and using shared components over one-off, hand-authored HTML, and knowledge of when to extend a component versus build a new one.
• Strong knowledge of Git (GitLab/GitHub), the command line, and your IDE of choice (Cursor, Windsurf, Claude Code).
• Experience building for scale and personalization. Expertise in authoring a template once and launching it to 100+ locales, with localized copy and second-level personalization (per-recipient jobs with different criteria, dynamic data, looping through arrays).
• Proven experience connecting to, querying, and consuming data from various internal/external APIs, and formatting that data into conditional, logic-driven dynamic emails.
• Understanding of hand-coding highly responsive, accessible HTML/CSS optimized to bypass the rendering limitations of email clients (Outlook, Gmail, Apple Mail).
• Apache Velocity (VTL) is preferred: candidates without direct Velocity experience may be considered only if they have strong hands-on experience with server-side templating technologies and can demonstrate a solid understanding of template logic, including reading, writing, and using macros (not just making minor template edits).

NICE TO HAVE

• Experience with AWS.
• Knowledge of Terraform.
• Familiarity with GitLab CI/CD.
• Familiarity with Figma.
• Experience with Email is secondary to front-end experience.
• Practical experience leveraging AI tooling (e.g., Cursor, Windsurf, Claude, or AI-driven code fixes) to accelerate development and operational workflows.
• Prior exposure to component internationalization and localization frameworks.
