Proofpoint is seeking a Senior DevOps and Data Engineer to join our Data Platform team. This hybrid role focuses on reliability, automation, and delivering scalable data infrastructure.

You will own cloud infrastructure (AWS-first), CI/CD tooling, and data pipelines using Glue, Athena, and S3, driving strong observability and secure, efficient operations. You will build and maintain production-grade pipelines, mentor colleagues, and collaborate with data scientists and security to push reliable

Formación

• 5+ years of professional experience in DevOps, platform engineering, or SRE with hands-on data engineering experience.
• Deep expertise with AWS core services (S3, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch, Lambda, ECS/EKS).
• Proficiency with Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform, AWS CDK) and CI/CD tooling.

Responsabilidades

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing, deployment, and promotion of data infrastructure.
• Build and manage AWS-based infrastructure using IaC (Terraform/AWS CDK).
• Own observability stack for data pipelines — metrics, logs, alerts, and tracing.
• Develop self-service tooling, templates, and libraries for production-grade pipelines.
• Manage container and compute infrastructure (Docker, ECS/EKS, Lambda).
• Operate workflow orchestration environments (MWAA, Airflow, Step Functions).
• Build and maintain AWS Glue ETL jobs for data ingestion and transformation on S3.
• Enforce security best practices ( Secrets Manager, IAM, network segmentation).
• Collaborate with data engineers/scientists to deliver scalable infra solutions.
• Lead incident response and post-mortem improvements.
• Mentor junior engineers and participate in code/design reviews.
