Proofpoint is seeking a Senior DevOps and Data Engineer to join the Data Platform team. This hybrid role focuses on reliability, automation, and delivery of data pipelines and analytics capabilities using AWS-first infrastructure, CI/CD, and DevOps tooling.

You'll build and maintain cloud infrastructure (S3, Glue, Athena), implement observability, and drive secure, scalable data workflows. Collaboration with data engineers, scientists, and security teams is essential.

Formación

• 5+ years of professional experience in DevOps, platform engineering, or SRE with at least 2 years in data engineering.
• Deep expertise with AWS core services: S3, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch, Lambda, ECS/EKS, Secrets Manager, and CDK.
• Hands-on with AWS data services: Glue, Athena, and S3 lifecycle/encryption.
• Proficiency with IaC tools: Terraform and/or AWS CDK.
• Strong CI/CD experience: GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or equivalent.
• Experience with Docker and container orchestration (ECS/EKS/Kubernetes).
• Design and operate observability systems for data and platform services.
• Excellent communication for technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsabilidades

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing, deployment, and promotion of AWS Glue ETL jobs and related data infrastructure.
• Build and manage AWS infrastructure (S3, IAM, Glue, Athena, VPCs, etc.) using IaC tools.
• Own observability stack: metrics/logs/alerts to ensure SLA and fast incident response.
• Develop DataOps self-service tooling, templates, and libraries for data engineers.
• Manage container and compute infra (Docker, ECS/EKS, Lambda) for data ingestion services.
• Operate workflow orchestration (MWAA/Airflow, Step Functions) including upgrades and scaling.
• Lead incident response for data platform outages and post-mortems.
• Mentor junior engineers on DevOps and data engineering practices.
