Proofpoint is seeking a Senior DevOps and Data Engineer to join our Data Platform team. This hybrid role focuses on reliability, automation, and delivery of data pipelines and analytics capabilities.

You will build and maintain AWS-first cloud infrastructure, CI/CD tooling, and data engineering workflows using AWS Glue, Athena, and S3. In this role you will own the observability stack, implement IaC with Terraform or CDK, and mentor engineers while collaborating with data scientists and security

Formación

• 5+ years of professional experience in DevOps, platform engineering, or SRE, with at least 2 years hands-on data engineering.

Responsabilidades

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for AWS Glue ETL jobs and related data infrastructure.
• Build and manage AWS-based cloud infrastructure using IaC (Terraform / AWS CDK).
• Own observability stack: metrics, logs, alerts for data pipelines and services.
• Develop self-service DataOps tooling and reusable templates for production pipelines.
• Manage container and compute infra (Docker, ECS/EKS, Lambda) for data ingestion services.
• Operate workflow orchestration (MWAA Airflow) including upgrades and scaling.
• Ensure security: secrets, least-privilege IAM, network segmentation.
• Collaborate with data engineers, scientists, and security teams to deliver scalable infra.
• Lead incident response and post-mortem improvements.
• Mentor junior engineers in DevOps and data engineering practices.
