Proofpoint is seeking a Senior DevOps and Data Engineer to join our Data Platform team. This hybrid role sits at the intersection of platform engineering and data infrastructure, owning the reliability, automation, and delivery of data pipelines and analytics capabilities on AWS.

• 5+ years of professional experience in DevOps or site reliability engineering with hands-on data engineering work.
• Deep expertise with AWS core services (S3, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch, Lambda, ECS/EKS).
• Hands-on experience with AWS data services: Glue, Athena, S3 lifecycle and security features.
• Proficiency with Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform and/or AWS CDK) and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI).
• Experience with container technologies (Docker) and orchestration (ECS/EKS or Kubernetes).
• Strong observability skills (metrics, logging, tracing, alerts) for data/platform services.

Responsabilidades

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for AWS Glue ETL jobs and related data infrastructure.
• Build and manage AWS cloud infrastructure using IaC (Terraform, CDK, or CloudFormation).
• Own observability stack for data pipelines with metrics, logs, and alerts.
• Develop self-service DataOps tooling and reusable pipeline templates.
• Manage container and compute infrastructure (Docker, ECS/EKS, Lambda).
• Design and operate workflow orchestration environments (MWAA/Airflow, Step Functions).
• Build and maintain AWS Glue ETL jobs for large-scale ingestion and transformation.
• Drive security best practices across the data platform (secrets, least privilege).
• Collaborate with data engineers/scientists/security to design scalable solutions.
• Lead incident response and post-mortems; mentor junior engineers.
