Proofpoint is seeking a Senior DevOps and Data Engineer to join our Data Platform team in a hybrid role. You will own the reliability, automation, and delivery of systems powering data pipelines and analytics, building AWS-first infrastructure, CI/CD, and DevOps tooling.

You will work on AWS Glue, Athena, and S3, design observability, manage containers, and mentor teammates while collaborating with data engineers, data scientists, and security teams to ship scalable data products.

Formación

• 5+ years in DevOps, platform engineering, or SRE with data work.
• Experience with AWS core services (S3, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch).
• Hands-on data services (Glue, Athena, S3).
• Proficient in IaC (Terraform / CDK).
• Strong CI/CD design and maintenance.

Responsabilidades

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment.
• Build and manage AWS-based infrastructure using IaC.
• Own observability stack with metrics, logs, and alerts.
• Develop DataOps tooling and reusable pipeline templates.
• Manage container/compute infra for data services.
• Operate workflow orchestration environments (MWAA/Airflow).
• Build and maintain AWS Glue ETL jobs for data ingestion.
• Drive security best practices across data platform.
• Collaborate with data engineers, scientists, and security.
• Lead incident response for data platform outages.
• Mentor junior engineers and conduct reviews
